While Thanksgiving may look a little different for some this year, there is still a lot to be grateful for. We asked TOG employees to share what they are most thankful for this Thanksgiving. Below are some of their reasons for gratitude.
Julie Nelson, CEO
I am thankful to be working with a dedicated team that always puts our clients first. While 2020 has certainly been an unusual year, it has made us realize what is truly important. I feel lucky to be surrounded by a team like ours!
Tim Olson, President
I am thankful for so much this year-
Adrienne Olson, Chief Financial Officer
While this has been a really tough year, we have had some wonderful things to be thankful for:
Our company has gone through a transition this year in ownership and in work environment, having to work from home.
I am thankful for our wonderful employees, each and every one of you, who has worked with us to transition to the new owners with minimal disruption and open minds. And while we may be apart in our work environment, I know all of you are dedicated, loyal, and caring to continue on the tradition of The Olson Group.
Travis Martin, Employee Benefits Consultant
I am thankful for the beauty of hunting and being outdoors while enjoying the peacefulness nature provides. I love spending time with my wife and kids and giving them the chance to enjoy that peacefulness as well. I also love having the opportunity to watch my kids excel in sports and academics.
Kathy Cox, Account Manager
I am most thankful for my family and friends. We love to spend time together. My family especially loves to play games and cards.
Alex Olson, Vice President of Marketing
I am thankful for my family and the birth of our newborn son in October. It has been a struggle this year, but his little smile brings joy to our lives everyday.
Greg Ritzdorf, Retirement Education Specialist
I am always thankful for my travels. In late spring, I was able to enjoy the outdoor beauty of Northern Idaho, Cour d’Alene. Trail running, lakeside strolls, and communing with nature. I was able to see bald eagles, osprey, sandpipers, moose* & elk. *Actually, the only moose I saw was a statue in the CDL park.
Debi Miller, Executive Assistant
I am blessed and thankful for my incredible family and friends.
Julie Kohanek, Senior Account Executive
I am most thankful for my three amazing children, Kelsie 27, Thomas 24, and of course the trailer Kyle 16. There are not enough words to express the Joy and Happiness they have brought me as well as all the Love and Support! I also am incredibly grateful for all the frontline workers helping battle this pandemic who have sacrificed so much.
BJ Davis, Vice President of Benefits Consulting
This year I am thankful for my loving wife and two adorable kids. I also am grateful for my friends and co-workers.
Suzi McNeil, Senior Account Manager
I am crazy thankful this Thanksgiving.
Sandy Petzoldt, Investment Advisor
I am thankful for my faith, family, and health.
Sue Loureiro, Junior Account Manager
On Thanksgiving I am thankful for many things.
Having God in my life guiding me along the way, reminding me of what is most important. I am thankful for my wonderful loving family and friends, sharing stories, making memories, remembering those who are no longer with us but still share their stories. Having a roof over my head, food on the table, a job to provide, and not taking any of this for granted.
Roxy Kolev, Director of Human Resources
I am thankful for all the new experiences that I have had this year and the family and friends that have encouraged me. I am also VERY thankful for fellow TOG employee Kelly!!
Amy McAlpine, Account Manager
First and foremost, I’m thankful for my family. I’m thrilled to be moving back to Omaha to be close to all of them but especially my nephew Adam, my niece Natalie, and baby boy Sanderson due in March. I’m grateful for my new job and the opportunity The Olson Group has given me. And lastly, I’m thankful that I will no longer have to shovel MN snow. The included picture shows the 9 inches Apple Valley received in October right before I listed my home for sale.
